Hi there, I’m Nina!
Resin captured my creative heart in early 2016. I've always loved making little treasures, and resin has opened up a whole new level of creativity for me.
I started creating beaded jewellery in 2014-2015 as a hobby, doing the occasional markets here and there. That sated my creative urges for a while, but it wasn't fulfilling my need to be 100% involved in the creation process - from start to finish. Hello resin.!
So, I began making resin jewellery & homewares.. & people started commenting on & asking to buy my jewellery!
I thought to myself ‘maybe this can be my thing..’ while working on my processes, still in the ‘hobby’ zone.
Then, at the end of 2016 I took a huge gamble & quit my retail job of 20+ years..
January 2017 saw the birth of ResArtDesigns and a future of markets, custom orders, workshops ~ meeting many wonderful people along the way!
In my spare time I'm mum of one, lucky wife of a very patient husband, avid gardener, fur-mum to Meadow, opshopper, & lover of all things mcm & vintage x
Sustainability
EDIT : ResArtDesigns strived to be as sustainable & eco friendly as possible throughout the entire creative process. Unfortunately, in the humid climate of South East Queensland, controlling said humidity is quite the struggle & was affecting the end results of creations, both custom and workshop individuals.. hence a decision had to be made..!
ResArtDesigns now uses both eco & non-eco resin to ensure the best outcome ALL the time. Eco resin will still be used for deep pours as long as creatively viable ( good results ).
Easy Cast resin will be used for all other creations.

100% recycled & sustainable Australian made Sterling Silver 935 sourced from Palloys is used in all silver chains & hand formed earring hooks.
Triple Plated Gold chains sourced from Australian company Transglobal Trading are used in gold chain selections.
Items are wrapped in sustainable No Issue tissue paper, padded with re-cycled materials and recycled Kraft boxes for gift-giving.
Ethical practices
Any inclusions such as foliage are collected by hand in extremely small quantities.. a small bunch of wattle goes a very long way :)
Insect inclusions are always collected from already deceased insects.
Plants & animals are NEVER destroyed for the sake of art & fashion!

Beauty is all around us, but it is only when we stop and absorb the absolute majesty of our natural world that we can truly appreciate its magic.
Incorporating tiny pieces of our beautiful world in small batch, ethically produced pieces is ResArtDesigns homage to Mother Earth.
In this process, there are no two leaves or flower petals that are ever the same. There can be no exactly matched swirl of colour.
